{dress - Wild Ginger (GB), shoes - Matisse Footwear}
I wanted to share a recent purchase from a new boutique that I'm crazy about, Wild Ginger. We'll be featuring one of their tunics in YOU magazine's fashion issue as well, which of course meant that I had to get to shopping at Wild Ginger, rummaging through all of their clothing to find the best look for our ballet shoot. And consequently, I ended up finding this dress which was just perfect for … well … me. :) This is one of the downfalls of having a job like mine. Both a perk and a problem. Beautiful clothes and "forced" window shopping. Heehee.
The kids have been on spring break this week and we zipped away for a few short days to Minneapolis, to take them to the amusement park at the Mall of America. It was a blast and they had a wonderful time. I just love the chance to take these kids away because they get so incredibly excited. We haven't traveled as a family in some time, so they relish the opportunity. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from our trip which we shared with my parents and both sisters and their families, minus my bother-in-law, who we missed very much. Love to you Jbo.
We also made the change from dark grey couch to light linen which was pretty amazing. It's seriously impressive how much lovelier the Ikea sectional looks. I'm in love. I hope to share that process with you sometime next week.
And finally, just a few pictures of us playing over the past week. We went to cousin Jude's first birthday party, which happened to be THE BEST PARTY EVER, and Jude tried to get some pictures of Scarlet with his mama's iPhone, which was hilarious. We've also begun our weekend Easter activities with the cousins, beginning with dying eggs and then making resurrection rolls. Tomorrow we're off to Easter egg hunts at church followed by time with family. Hope you have a beautiful weekend friends, celebrating this holiday with loved ones. We owe everything to our Savior and I am so grateful for what He did for us. We now have hope for our future, for our eternity. It's an awesome thing.
I'll end off with racks filled with pretty dresses for you to peek at, all possibilities for upcoming photo shoots, making my room look lovely. They hang on a rack against my bedroom window day in and day out, changing with the season and the assignments. It's a wonderful way to keep inspired with my own wardrobe and personal style, always having the season's coolest trends and loveliest colors right there, the sun shining through their folds like a glittering gem.
That dress, swoon! And I am bananas for the linen couch! (And Scarlet 's ponytail!)
