I love the look of kimonos, especially when they're paired with cut offs and a tee (though it'll look great in the fall with skinny jeans). It's a dressed up beachy casual in a way, with something a little exotic mixed in. At least that's what I'm imagining here. That Scarlet and I are at the beach and we're about to meet the fam at a seaside cafe.
Top secret info revealed. This "jacket" belonged to my mother, a delightful product of 80's sleepwear, and I've hung onto it all these years because it is just so pretty. And now today, I'm wearing it proudly, as a KIMONO. Yes! Seems the people of Green Bay were all to happy to go along with my night gown turned day jacket. In fact, the second I walked into The Olive Garden this particular afternoon I was accosted with a "I love your flowery jacket thing … where did you get that?" Sort of a funny question coming from a male host but my guess is it was at the request of his 2 giggling cohorts.

Oh, Kirsty, you are the chic, brilliant mama that I imagine myself to be! (Imagine being my operative word!) Stylish and beautiful photos. And your little peanut is adorable. I think I'd like to nibble on her for lunch!
ReplyDeleteHaha! Thank you Anna. And you the world traveler that I long to be! One day I will find myself in France too. I need only make a million extra dollars first. ;)
DeleteIt doesn't take a millionaire (As we are definite proof!), just a dash of insanity. Sometimes I wonder what on earth we are doing selling the house and sending ourselves to a country where we speak the language no more than infants!
DeleteSo, if you completely lose your marbles, come visit me and you can be my stylist. :)
