Hello friends! A brand new week lays ahead, one with much excitement for me. My little sister arrives this week and as I've mentioned several times now (sorry for the stuck record here) but it's dance recital time and I'm pretty thrilled for this event to arrive.
I really try to turn their dance recital into a big production for spring and a lot of work goes into making it really special for the girls. We offer gourmet desserts to those that attend and decorate the room with candles and pretty lights. This year I even hope to have decorations hanging from the ceiling. The girls are also videotaped and photographed in class ahead of time, so that they have those additional memories to savor, and we watch their photo slideshow and video as a part of the production. This year several of the dancers have even written poetry and they will have the opportunity to read their poems to the audience. So there's much to look forward to, in addition to all the dancing.
In regards to this outfit, I chose to wear a nude chiffon skirt in a silhouette that I love. I dressed it up with a bright green blouse and some brightly patterned wedges, deciding that something so neutral deserved a deep splash of color. It felt like a fun combination for mother's day though keeping sticky hands off of that silk was a huge task! Happy to say, I am able to avoid the dry cleaners once more. Whew!
