Hi friends! Hope you're all enjoying this summer heat and if you're in SA, not finding yourselves too cold (not too often I can say THAT - haha). We've spent much of our week outside in the water as it's been positively sweltering, hitting a stifling 97 degrees yesterday! Thankfully we'd just put up an above ground pool and the kids have not done much else since. But that's what summer's for ... all day fun in the sun (with an afternoon nap, of course).
More strawberry-banana smoothies
A few pretties I picked up a couple of weekends ago at the downtown antique mall.

This dress is really beautiful but needs to be altered at the hip to be more flattering. It was likely a slip dress back in the day, but I'll wear it as a dress with another slip underneath. That crocheted neckline is just too amazing to cover up! (and it was only $18!)
And I also found this stunning bracelet.
What my boys wore today. I thought they looked especially cute in their hot weather gear.
{Parker: tank & shorts - Children's Place, shoes - Target
Monty: t - Gap, shorts - Old Navy, (dreaded and glued to the feet) light up shoes - Kohls (gift from Ouma but he begged and begged :)
Elliot: tank - H&M, shorts - Gap, shoes - Singapore}
What I wore
I finally received these shoes, my birthday present (originally something else that was returned due to wrong sizing), in the mail this week. They were on backorder hence the wait. They're pretty smoking hot but slightly intimidating. Very, very high though surprisingly, equally comfortable. I've obsessed about Jeffrey Campbell shoes for some time now and finally decided to take the plunge when my bday rolled around. I haven't worn super high platforms since I was a teen, so wish me luck!
This pic showcases how pale and vein-y my legs really are. Delightful. :)

Here's a closer look. Apparently 4.5 inches but I think it's 5! (riiii reeeerrr)
And finally, the peonies opened today. Couldn't resist snapping a pic.
