Today was my Kindergarteners graduation and I am bursting with pride. While it may seem silly to have such fanfare over this little milestone, it's a huge deal to me, so I'm happy to make it BIG!
Dear Parker -
This day was so special and you are so incredible. You've worked hard to learn your ABC's and your 123's and then your writing, reading and math. And now it's time to move onward and upward, leaving this little preschool/kindergarten bubble and joining the big leagues. You're so important to me and this next turn in your young life is a little nerve-wrecking, to say the least. But I figure I should get over it and fast, cause in 8 years you'll be off to high school (eek!) and in 12 years you'll be leaving our nest for good, laying a foundation somewhere that will likely impact the rest of your life. Okay, I guess I'm getting ahead of myself here but you're my firstborn and you're everything, EVERYTHING. I love you to the deepest depths of my heart and I'm so proud of you and who you've become, even at age 6. You're so much already.
After the ceremony we went to the park and after exhausting ourselves at the playground, we lay in the squishy grass and stared up at the clouds.
Sweet boys ...
