Nautical Stripes & Spiffy Glasses

On Wednesday I wore my "boyfriend" jeans, seriously the greatest things ever. Gap truly hits it perfectly ever single time I'm needing/dying for a new pair. I'm definitely a huge fan of this particular style, with it's slouchier fit making it all the more comfy, and it's distressed (or just plain ripped up) sections. My mom recently patched up some of the holes actually, as they had grown to mammoth size. But I think it's especially cute to wear them with something a little more elegant and ... well, fitted. This time it was a simple turtle neck (don't usually love a granny turtle neck but this one's a charmer ;) in a rather summery nautical stripe (but still long sleeved - I'm not getting too ahead of myself). Grabbed a cardi and a few pretty petals on a brooch. And my oxfords ... that's about it.

I picked up these sweet and sparkly little shoe bows from H & M a couple of years ago. I didn't wear them out this way (bit much for today) but I just had to whip them out to show you.

So ... my sister just picked up a couple of new pairs of glasses and they're amazing! I'm sorta jealous of those crazy cool frames and I absolutely want to wear my own too (even though I don't need them). Here she is with Shooby (perhaps he'd enjoy a more mysterious nickname like Cara's Mr B has - let's see ... Shoobster ... there). They look like the perfect "Chicago" couple, don't you think?

 

Here are my own cheapies from so long ago, I have no idea where they're from. Not sure if I have the guts to wear them out though. haha
