I've had this wonderfully huge cardi from H & M since last winter and though I felt a little lost in it then, I'm much more comfy with it's feminine bulk now (doesn't seem possible to feel both feminine and extra bulky at the same time, does it?).
I think the only way something like this can work in an outfit is to pair it with skinnies on the bottom. Though it's freezing out, I wear flats minus the socks all the way through the winter months. I just can't bear the 2 together but I have to wear those ballets year round! The question arises - How does one keep oneself from committing horrible fashion faux pas in zero degree weather, where the climate is just begging it's unlucky inhabitants for a fashionable mess? It's tough I tell you. I had not worn a "puffer" coat until 3 winters ago because of how hideous they made me feel (just pretended to be warm in a peacoat). Too funny ... I have one now (in black - in the hopes of it looking slimmer maybe?) and I'm much warmer for it.

"Elegance - This is a word that would need a book to give it it's right definition. I will only say now that elegance must be the right combination of dinstinction, naturalness, care, and simplicity. Outside this, believe me, there is no elegance. Only pretension.
Elegance is not dependent on money. Of the four things I have mentioned above, the most important of all is care. Care in choosing your clothes. Care in wearing them. Care in keeping them."
