{To Dinner with the Huz}
This is day 2 of my latest and greatest (and quite possibly most fun) endeavor, styling a perfect little ensemble for a date night with my man. This is "what I'd looove to wear" to my romantic dinner for 2 and I found all these wonderful clothes on the racks at Besselli in Green Bay. Now as much as I love a diaphanous white dress, a LBD is always a sure favorite for all of us, isn't it? And it's something you can hardly go wrong with. This smashing little number is a tunic length dress and definitely takes center of attention with all that unbelievable beading and chain detailing at the neck and hemline. It's seriously amazing in person! It has a sort of comfy cotton feel though, so despite the drama, I didn't have to worry about sucking it all in (often the case with a little black dress). I decided to pair it with slim dark denim and black boots (though a pair of black heels would have been really perfect). And if you're daring enough, a pair of black opaque tights would be rockin' too.
And as one more pretty pop to my almost complete & date night ready ensemble, a tiny but essential clutch! It has the loveliest peacock feathers (perfect for a certain tattooed lady, yes?) intricately beaded into the silky fabric. Just big enough to hold my phone and lip smears ... all I'll really need. (Well, currently it would also have to include about a hundred tissues, but hopefully that will change soon. Ugh!)

Now I realize I'm not looking very "date night" ready in the hair and makeup department. But instead of wondering why I chose to do this fun little dress up & photo shoot on an afternoon when I had hardly any makeup on and a very un-extraordinary ponytail, imagine instead a blank canvas (well, wildly freckled blank canvas) with which to complete the look (much like the models on Project Runway, when they first enter for the pickins'. You know what I'm referring too?). Anyway, I'd certainly have to add the curls and the lashes to really feel like a million bucks, but I suppose the huz would think I looked great "just the way I was". Sweet, sweet man (and thank you Bruno Mars for those heart warming lyrics).
